Hello from the
Springdale Chicks!
The
Springdale Chicks is a girls
competitive fastpitch softball organization. Our organization currently
has teams for 10 & under, 12 & under and 13 & under. We are based out of
beautiful Northwest Arkansas and play tournaments in the four state region
(AR, MO, OK, KS). Our three teams host girls from Springdale,
Fayetteville, Bentonville, Rogers, Lowell, Siloam Springs, Elkins, Westfork,
Prairie Grove, Centerton and even OK and MO!
Keeping kids physically active is now a major goal for our nation. What
we do for them now, may save their health in the future plus have a
financial impact on the nation. In addition, studies have shown that
girls participating in sports are less likely to be involved in drugs or
become a teen parent. They are also more likely to graduate high school
than those who do not play sports. Being challenged and making
achievements through sports can help boost girls' self-esteem and lessen
depression. This helps make them stronger young ladies to face the
demands and trials of the world ahead of them. A team sport is an
excellent avenue for a girl due to the social aspects. We like to think
that fastpitch softball is particularly great!
Fastpitch softball is not a school sponsored sport in Springdale or many
of the surrounding cities until the high school level. The
Springdale Chicks provides girls
with the training that they will need to play at that level when the time
comes. Some of our girls already dream of competing at a college, Olympic
or professional level. The skills that they learn now will help them
towards those dreams and even help them attain future scholarships.
Besides all the skills and fundamentals of sportsmanship that they
learn...we all have a great time playing the game!
The
Springdale Chicks needs your help
to make all this happen for these awesome girls. We are looking for
sponsors to help us meet their needs. Some of the items that we use our
team money for are:
Sports make our girls physically and emotionally healthier. Our volunteer
coaches and parents work diligently to keep the players inspired and
learning. In addition to growing in the world of softball, our
organization works to make our girls well-rounded citizens. We require
each player to keep a minimum 3.0 grade point average. Last year our
overall team average was never lower than 3.7!!
Being community minded is our other greatest goal for these girls. Our
team hosts a very large and successful annual tournament that raises funds
our team but is also geared towards raising funds and awareness for breast
cancer through the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. In addition,
we participate in a number of other events throughout the year that also
bring our girls together to work for a charitable or community cause.
Your sponsorship of the Springdale Chicks
would be an incredible investment in their futures...one that could bring
you and/or your company pride. Sponsorships can be made to the program in
the form of goods, services, or money. Our team is a 501(c)3 non-profit
organization! This means your donations or sponsorship of our program
will be tax deductible as defined by law. Our tax ID number is Tax
ID #68-0576555.
We
have several levels of sponsorships from which to choose for showing your
support. The
Springdale Chicks rely a great
deal on the giving hearts (and checkbooks) of individuals and businesses,
to act as sponsors for the program. Each level brings gratitude from our
entire club. Please see the “Sponsorship
Categories” for more details.
If
you have any questions or you need to speak to us about sponsoring the
